Reusable Fixture Components

Do more than your standard work station, flow racks and carts!
In my work, I often come across situations where we see a product being used in one corner of the world that hasn’t got traction in another corner. A great example of this is a product called Flex Craft. It’s a company that I represent that makes some extremely economical, but functional components for building structures that sort of grow a person’s erector set that free up to build whatever you can imagine, literally. It’s centered around punch square tubing with a million and one different accessories that allow you to connect and create a variety of mechanical options.

For the trade show world, this opens up a whole new area for things that are extremely easy to assemble and disassemble. One of the key factors of this in the industrial environment is to be able to make things that can be adjusted or to simply be taken apart, collapsed, and stored in between production cycles.

Again, this is not a product that replaces some of the really elegant extruded materials like T-Slot or similar things, but it has an industrial look that may be appropriate for some of your clients that goes far beyond those other materials. We’d love to have the chance to bring in a sample set and let your creating people see what they think, or it may be a structural element that the customer never sees and this is a much quicker and less expensive way for you to achieve structural goals than other methods you may be using.

“I have been working with you as a customer for the past 5 years. I honestly cannot compare them to anyone else as I have always used them for my case needs. The cases they have designed for me have allowed me to check my sensitive computer equipment on planes with utter confidence. In the past 5 years I have had no damage to any of my equipment due to air or truck travel and I credit this to the superior custom work. Additionally the staff is all extremely nice and helpful. It has been a pleasure to do business with them and I will continue to do so. I also continue to recommend them at every possible opportunity.”

- Leslie Dasher, Dasher Productions, Inc.

“We have worked with you for over 4 years to build custom cases for shipping sensitive laboratory instrumentation that travels extensively out in the field to help our sales representatives. We have at least 6 different case designs built for us to cover the gamut of our various test apparatus. We had seen the destructive force the shipping companies had put our cases through by requiring us to install new latches, rolling wheels, handles, etc., and in almost all cases the equipment arrived intact and operational. That was often a surprise by the damage seen visibly on the exterior of the cases. We had not yet replaced any of the cases but we did need to replace the small fittings on the cases due to shipping abuse. There has been minimal downtime to equipment malfunction due to the intelligent interior design, choice of packing material and fabrication for the interior of the case for each individual part of the laboratory test equipment. Job well done”
